Establishment of Minorities Development Fund

 Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna announced several soaps for Minorities on the occasion of Id-Ul-Fitr including Minority Self Employment Scheme, Urdu language teaching, facilities like Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan and establishment of Minorities Development Fund amongst others. Mr. Bahuguna on Saturday said that Minority Self employment Scheme would be started for the economic development and self employment of unemployed youths.
He said that the State Government would provide 25 percent subsidy and loan at lower rate (6 percent) to them. Mr. Bahuguna said that arrangements would be made for Urdu teaching from Class 6 to 12 for which the Urdu teachers would be appointed. "For development of Urdu language, facility of teaching Urdu at two government degree colleges in minority concentrated areas at Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar will be started," he revealed.
 Chief Minister Bahuguna said that facilities like Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan would be provided to minority girls studying in Madarsas registered by Uttarakhand Madarsa Board. "Similar facilities like free text books, annual grant of Rs. 5000 for primary, Rs. 7000 for upper primary and study material grant of Rs. 500 will be provided," he said adding that all eligible Madarsas registered by Utarakhand Madarsa Board would be provided Mid-Day Meal. Mr. Bahuguna said that as an encouragement, Rs. 25000 would be given to girls belonging to minority BPL families residing in rural areas and Rs. 21206 to those in urban areas after they pass Intermediate Examinations. Bahuguna said that Minority Development Fund would be established with Rs. 25 crore. He said that action would be taken for development and conservation of Waqf properties located in Uttarakhand after conducting proper survey.
Mr. Bahuguna said that the Kaliyar Sharif would be developed on the pattern of Ajmer Sharif. "Department of Tourism is preparing DPR for the same which will be sent to Union Ministry of Tourism," he said and further added that the underconstruction Haj House at Kaliyar would be completed at the earliest for which remaining Rs. 4 crore would be sanctioned soon.
